Sculpture Park Activity
The Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park at Governors State University (GSU) was established over thirty years ago. In 2009 Dr. Dianna Galante, the Program Coordinator for and Associate Professor of Mathematics at GSU, brought to the making the idea for a pre-made math activity packet available for teachers planning math class tours. In the methods classes, math teacher candidates collaborated to help create this by taking one sculpture and tailoring an activity around it. We had the pleasure of presenting this project at the ICTM conference in October of 2010.
