I used a version of the
Cherwell ticketing system when I was contracted at Collegis Ed, and when I
started contracting at Ace Hardware Corporate, they happen to be changing to
the Cherwell ticketing system a few months after my hire. I ended up being able
to answer questions for co-workers based on both my experience prior and the
training and playing I did at Ace. I created a template that we could use to
send out to end users so they could find their version of Cherwell to place
requests. I was also on the Cherwell committee that would meet to discuss
issues and proposed solutions for the new system. During this, I took point on
testing and documenting a saving issue that was ultimately resolved.
I really enjoyed being able
to help my coworkers and end users, as well as leading project aspects as
needed. I also visited our new offices and help train our new employees for two
weeks to help them with different issues that came up. This allowed me to
interact one-on-one as well as in small groups as needed, to be able to better anticipate
questions going forward. I look forward to helping more in my future.
